Fortnite OG
To celebrate the return of the original Fortnite island, we set out to capture that sense of nostalgia with a refreshed logo and key art that honored the game’s early years. “OG” was the perfect name, simple, universal, and one of the few terms our localization team approved globally without translation. That gave us the rare freedom to push the logo into 3D.

Logo Process
I began with a painted sketch in Procreate, combining a rugged green backing plate with bright gold letterforms. From there, I partnered with Jim Regan to build and render the logo in Cinema 4D and Unreal Engine, creating something that felt unmistakably Fortnite, classic but elevated.
Initial Moodboards and Drawings
The moodboards drew inspiration from bold metallic branding, retro pop culture, and the over-the-top attitude of classic action movies. The sketches helped visualize a sense of chaos and fun, setting the foundation for a campaign that celebrated Fortnite’s roots while reintroducing them with cinematic flair.
Key Art
The key art reimagined an iconic Fortnite composition, with Jonesy looking back as new heroes charge forward. It struck the balance between nostalgia and momentum, celebrating where the game started and where it’s headed next.
